JavaScript Debugging in Visual Studio 2017

We can now debug JavaScript files from the visual studio ide, and don’t need to debug from browser’s developer tools.

To enable the debugging, go to Tools–>Options–>Debugging then Check the below checkbox.


In your JavaScript file, set a debugging breakpoint as you do in C# application development.

Now if you fire-up the application and execute the according code, your breakpoint should be looks like below.


We can even do conditional debugging as we tend to do in normal .NET Development.
